I know it can be hard to ask for help. Many clients have said they feel some form of improvement after the first 1-2 counseling sessions. Just sitting down to talk in a safe place can be transformative.
Similar to physical pain, emotional pain can also be a signal that something isn't quite right. When we gain an understanding of our thoughts, feelings , behaviors, and inner voices (those parts of us we often hear talking), we are better able to understand the meaning of these messages and thus make the necessary changes in our lives to heal.
I work with adolescents, college students, and adults. My approach to psychotherapy is respectful and collaborative. I am active, supportive and utilize a combination of modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Psychodynamic (insight-oriented).
